Ridio, an ed-tech startup, had an idea for a visual coding-education platform and roughly two months to prove it, with grant funding riding on the outcome — but no engineering team of their own to build a demonstrable product in that window.
one embedded engineer built the platform from scratch, starting with an MVP of the visual, drag-and-drop coding environment to secure the grant, then completing it as a full product and extending it with a news feed and blog. When Ridio paused that product to build a new AI tool, the same developer moved to backend work on it, and a second developer joined as front-end.
